Bats in Minnesota dying from ‘white-nose syndrome’; areas of state see dramatic population decline

"White-nose syndrome" has drastically affected the bat population in Minnesota, the state’s department of natural resources said Thursday in a warning residents could see an increase in mosquitoes, moths and other insects without these winged creatures.
